Attention Mavericks: The purpose of this notice is in regards to junior varsity and varsity Maverick Football. Due to the number of COVID 19 diagnoses, as well as the number of student athletes who are out with COVID 19 symptoms, Eastland ISD has determined it is in the best interest of all parties involved to cancel the junior varsity as well as the varsity football games scheduled for September 17th and 18th. Middle School football games will go on as scheduled. This is not a decision taken lightly but one I do believe is correct given the current circumstances. **Changes to spectator attendance at all Eastland ISD extracurricular events** 9-4-2020 EISD has been informed by our local health officials that the number of active cases of Covid-19 has exceeded twenty cases in Eastland County; Eastland ISD is now required to adhere fully to Executive Order GA-29 in accordance with U.I.L. guidelines. In addition to social distancing... *All employees, parents, visitors and students ten years of age or older must wear face coverings or face shields upon entry to an area where UIL activities are being conducted and when not actively practicing or playing in the contest. We are lucky to have the opportunity to continue with UIL sports and activities given the current state of things. UIL has made it clear that an outbreak in the stands could prove just as detrimental as one in the locker room. We respectfully ask that all our Maverick fans help us adhere to the U.I.L. protocols so that our students get to keep competing in the games they love. Beginning Today, Employees and Students, grades 4th-12th, will be required to wear face coverings when they are unable to social distance. Face masks and/or face shields will be provided if needed. Following TEA guidance, face coverings for students in Pre-k through 3rd grade are recommended but not required.

Tonight's football game with Wall at Maverick Stadium will be live-streamed through NFHS. KATX Radio will be providing the play-by-play on the live-stream as well for football games. We hope to have the service completed for Marshall Gym soon to broadcast the Varsity Volleyball games. Please read the attachment to learn how you can watch the Mavericks live from home.

Eastland ISD is partnering with NFHS to Livestream Maverick varsity football and volleyball games. We are very close to being up and going for tonight's football game with Wall. We will send out information as soon as we have confirmation from NFHS that we are ready to go. Hopefully, we will be able to start the livestream of Volleyball next week.

Middle School pickup. If you arrive early to pick up, please do not park next to the curb where the buses will park. Please do not block the entrance where buses will enter the parking lot. Once buses have parked you may pull between buses and parked cars to pick up your student. Please be very cautious and have patience. There will be many pedestrians, and moving vehicles in the parking lot. Buses will not leave until 3:38.
