8th Graders will be testing tomorrow (4/21) for Social Studies and Thursday (4/23) for Science.
8th Graders in Algebra I will test Wednesday (4/22).
Grades 6-8 will be taking their STAAR Math test next Tuesday (4/28).
Please make sure your student rests well before testing and arrives at school on time!
Dear Parents,
Tomorrow, April 15, all grades (6, 7, 8) will be taking the Reading and Language Arts STAAR Test. Please make sure your student is in attendance and on time. Students must report to their assigned testing room by 8:00 AM.
Lunch times will differ slightly from the normal routine. 6th grade lunch will be from 11:00 - 11:30 and 7th and 8th grade lunch will be from 11:30 - 12:00.
We appreciate your support in ensuring students are present, prepared, and on time. Let’s help our Mavericks do their best!

2/26/26 & 2/27/26, Increased Traffic Due to Track Meet:
On Thursday and Friday, there will be increased traffic around the track and field areas due to the the Maverick Relays.
Expect delays, and be aware of students crossing the streets to get to their events.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
It has come to the attention of the administration of Eastland ISD that a message is circulating regarding a possible planned walkout involving middle school and high school students on Tuesday. Please note that this activity is not supported by or condoned by Eastland ISD administration.
We would like to remind families of important expectations outlined in the Eastland ISD Student Code of Conduct (2025–2026). The Code of Conduct prohibits students from leaving school grounds or school-sponsored events without permission and requires students to comply with directives given by school personnel. The Code also prohibits actions or demonstrations that substantially disrupt or materially interfere with school activities.
Participation in a walkout during the school day, as well as refusal to return to class when directed by school staff, constitutes a violation of the Student Code of Conduct and will be subject to disciplinary consequences in accordance with district procedures.
In addition, for the safety and security of students and staff, individuals without a legitimate educational reason to be on campus or any Eastland ISD property will be denied access and/or directed to leave.
While we respect students’ rights to express their opinions, this must be done in a manner that does not disrupt instruction, interfere with school operations, or compromise student safety. We appreciate your partnership in reinforcing these expectations with your child and helping us maintain a safe, orderly, and respectful learning environment.
