Attention Mavericks: The purpose of this notice is in regards to junior varsity and varsity Maverick Football. Due to the number of COVID 19 diagnoses, as well as the number of student athletes who are out with COVID 19 symptoms, Eastland ISD has determined it is in the best interest of all parties involved to cancel the junior varsity as well as the varsity football games scheduled for September 17th and 18th. Middle School football games will go on as scheduled. This is not a decision taken lightly but one I do believe is correct given the current circumstances. Attention Students and Parents We are excited to announce that our 2020 Senior night for band, football, cheer, and cross country will be held Friday September 25 at 7 pm. Your senior will have more information about the event next week. Our 2020 Homecoming is now October 23rd at our game against Jacksboro. Stay tuned for more information as we get closer to October. The Junior Varsity football game against Jim Ned has been moved to Jim Ned High School because of weather conditions. If you have already purchased a ticket for Thursday's night game, you will be refunded. Please be on a look out for an email for your refund. If you are going to go watch our students play and cheer at Jim Ned, please go to their ticket website, https://www.jimned.esc14.net/page/Tickets. **Changes to spectator attendance at all Eastland ISD extracurricular events** 9-4-2020 EISD has been informed by our local health officials that the number of active cases of Covid-19 has exceeded twenty cases in Eastland County; Eastland ISD is now required to adhere fully to Executive Order GA-29 in accordance with U.I.L. guidelines. In addition to social distancing... *All employees, parents, visitors and students ten years of age or older must wear face coverings or face shields upon entry to an area where UIL activities are being conducted and when not actively practicing or playing in the contest. We are lucky to have the opportunity to continue with UIL sports and activities given the current state of things. UIL has made it clear that an outbreak in the stands could prove just as detrimental as one in the locker room. We respectfully ask that all our Maverick fans help us adhere to the U.I.L. protocols so that our students get to keep competing in the games they love. Tonight's football game with Wall at Maverick Stadium will be live-streamed through NFHS. KATX Radio will be providing the play-by-play on the live-stream as well for football games. We hope to have the service completed for Marshall Gym soon to broadcast the Varsity Volleyball games. Please read the attachment to learn how you can watch the Mavericks live from home.

Eastland ISD is partnering with NFHS to Livestream Maverick varsity football and volleyball games. We are very close to being up and going for tonight's football game with Wall. We will send out information as soon as we have confirmation from NFHS that we are ready to go. Hopefully, we will be able to start the livestream of Volleyball next week.

We are excited to have our Varsity football tickets available for sale for the Eastland vs Wall game Thursday the 27th starting at 5pm. Please go to https://www.eastlandisd.net/o/eastland-isd/page/ticket-sales--3. Once there, click on the Eastland vs Wall and select home reserved. You will be able to see what seats are available and be able to purchase those seats. We do have a max order of 4. Please bring your QR code either on your cell phone or on a print out. Attention EHS Parents, We had a great first day with your students. With our lack of spring scheduling, we had a few "first day" scheduling issues that we worked through. We have addressed most issues and should have the rest resolved by Monday afternoon. The scrimmage with Early for tonight has been canceled On Friday August 21st, we will be scrimmaging Benbrook High School, 201 Overcrest Drive, Benbrook, Texas 76126 JV scrimmage time will be 6 pm Varsity Scrimmage time will be 7:30 PM Spectators are limited to player families only. The players will be limited to 2 tickets for their families. The players will notify Coach Pena the 2 names they want on their list. There will be a checklist at the ticket window with a Benbrook administrator. After the JV scrimmage is completed all JV parents will be asked to leave and the stadium. The stadium will be sanitized and then the Varsity parents will be allowed to enter the stadium. Go Mavs - James Morton
