6^th Grade Start of School Information

First Day- Friday, August 21^st

6^th grade teachers are going to take the first day really slow. You will spend a lot of time just figuring out where everything is at on campus.  You will have the whole campus to yourselves!

Drop off and pickup will be at the top of the gym parking lot.

Breakfast will be offered each day beginning at 7:20.  Students eating breakfast will report straight to the cafeteria before entering the middle school building. The building opens at 7:30. So, if you get here before 7:30, please go to the cafeteria. 

Your parents should screen you for any covid symptoms before dropping you off.  If you have any symptoms, please stay at home and contact the school. 254-631-5040

Upon entering the building we will check your temperature.  You will enter the building through the doors below this giant red lettering that says EASTLAND MIDDLE SCHOOL. It will say OFFICE is smaller red letters next to the entrance doors. 

All classes, passing periods and lunch periods will be by grade level. So you will only be interacting with other students in your grade during the school day.  This will allow you the opportunity to only be around a limited number of students during the day.  This will also allow you opportunity for proper social distancing.

Masks are currently not required, but encouraged. We encourage you to wear a mask, and can provide a disposable mask each day to any student that request one. 

Students we are excited to have you back! It’s going to be different and messy with all the changes.  Please bring plenty of patience and kindness with you!
