To the students of EHS,
I am writing this to try to answer a few questions that have been coming up a lot the last few days.
1. Graduation??? We have made no plans, at this time, to alter graduation. Our plan is to have a traditional graduation. Our decisions will ultimately be made based on guidelines from the local, state, and federal levels.
2. Prom??? Prom was not cancelled, it was postponed. The plan (parents and school) is to have prom at a later date. Obviously there are no set plans at this point, but our goal is that there will still be a 2020 prom.
3. Grades??? Grades are being taken based on your online work. Email, google classroom, and zoom are the best ways to communicate with your teachers. You can also contact the school at 631-5000 and I will get you in touch with your teachers. We also have chromebooks available if you are having difficulty working on your phones.
4. Scholarships??? Seniors, your packets were emailed to you and need to be filled out and returned to the school (call and make an appointment) by the deadlines for each scholarship.
We miss you and look forward to the time we are all back in school and in a routine. Stay safe and well.
Adam Bramlett
Just a reminder to all students to check your school email and to log into your google classrooms regularly. We are taking grades now and in the month of April it will be critical for you to keep up and ask questions on zoom. We are working hard to keep in touch and can not do this without your help. If you need a laptop or any other help, please contact abramlett@eastland.esc14.net or call 631-5000. Stay safe and we look forward to seeing you as soon as this passes.
It is important that we do our best to comply with all of the suggestions made to reduce the spread of COVID 19. Beginning Wednesday March 25, 2020 EHS will reduce all campus staff to essential personnel only and reduce entrances to each campus to one entrance per building. Each person will sign in and complete the “self-screening” questions before entering the building.
Please note, visitors will be seen by appointment only. To schedule and appointment, please call 631-5000 or email abramlett@eastland.esc14.net
This is uncharted territory for all of us. Thank you for your patience as we make necessary changes.
Below is an example of the sign in sheet…
Staff sign in:
1. Have you taken your temperature today?
Circle one: Yes No
2. Do you currently have a fever?
Circle one: Yes No
3. Do you have a fever and symptoms of lower respiratory illness (e.g., cough, difficulty breathing, shortness of breath)?
Circle one: Yes No
4. Have you or any person in your family, had close contact with a laboratory confirmed COVID-19 (positive case of coronavirus) patient or somebody displaying symptoms within the past 14 days?
Circle one: Yes No
Have a blessed day and be safe.
