On April 2nd, EHS students created floral arrangements for the TSFA Knowledge-based Floral Certification!
The Texas State Florists' Association (TSFA) Level 1 Floral Certification is among the first steps for individuals pursuing a professional career in the floral industry. Completion of TSFA Knowledge-based Floral Certification is required to earn this credential. Designs evaluated during the hands-on exam include a symmetrical arrangement and a boutonniere.
Throughout the year students design 6 seasonal arrangements that help them build skills to pass the hands-on portion. Each arrangement is put into a portfolio to allow them to have a hands-on copy of their designs to present to a florist if they pursue a job in the industry.
