There will be a Middle School Lady Mavs Volleyball Parent Meeting on Wednesday (8/14) at 5:15pm in the 64 gym.

Abilene Bone & Joint will be doing physicals for $15 from 9-11 AM on Saturday August 3rd at Abilene Bone & Joint. All incoming 7th, 9th, and 11th grade athletes that have not gotten a physical already this year are highly encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity.

EISD regular board meeting will be held Monday, July 22nd.

Charges Dismissed Against Former EHS Teacher:
Eastland Independent School District received official notification this week that all charges have been dismissed against an Eastland High School teacher who was put on paid administrative leave pending an investigation by the Texas Rangers earlier this year. The teacher submitted his resignation to EISD in writing, stating he plans to retire from public education. EISD has submitted copies of the official notification of the dismissal received to the Texas Education Agency. The teacher’s resignation was accepted by the EISD School Board and took effect at the end of the 2023-24 school year.

Parents , if you were contacted regarding your student who failed a STAAR exam, this is a friendly reminder that next week is the retest. Monday (6/24) is English 1, Tuesday (6/25) is English 2, Wednesday (6/26) is Algebra & US History, and Thursday(6/27) is Biology & makeups *Report @ 8:00 AM to the library. If your student failed, they would have received an email from Mrs. Wilson with more information. Have a great weekend.

Attention EHS Students interested in taking Dual Credit in 2024-2025......
Tomorrow (6/18) is the last day to take/ and pas the TSI, turn in your dual credit packet and apply to Ranger JC and or Cisco JC if you are new to dual credit. If you have any questions, please call the office at 254-631-5000.

June 18 is the deadline for all dual credit paperwork to be turned into the high school office and for students to have taken and passed the TSI test. Students need to apply to Ranger College and Cisco College by June 18 as well.

5/28, Dual Credit Parent Meeting: There will be a Dual Credit parent meeting on Tuesday, May 28 at 5:30pm in the high school library.

Eastland High School would love to thank the parents and community members that made our teacher appreciation week a big success. Thank you to Mr. Williams, Mary Jones, and Shelley Rinehart for cooking omelettes for the teachers on Monday and delivering cupcakes and a gift to the teachers on Tuesday. Thank you to the parents of each class that provided lunch every day. A special thanks to Courtney Bridges, Coach Galyean, Chasady Browning, Leslie Boelter, Kristine Franco, Crystal Purdom, Brandi Daliege, Lauren Hatton, Audrey Millican, and Melissa Wilson who showed up and served the teachers. Finally, we would like to thank Lori Hammon who provided every staff member at EHS with a $10 gift card to Ms. Brown's Coffee Shop. We are blessed.

The May School Board Meeting has been rescheduled to Monday, May 20th.
