The Parent Portal TxConnect will have a new link and look beginning Monday, October 14th. Parents who have a link saved to their mobile device will need to delete the old link and create a new one. The new link will be updated on the EISD webpage and will be active on October 14th.

We will walk to the visitor’s side of the stadium at 6:55 - 7:00 pm. Line up at 7:00 pm and be ready to walk on the field at 7:05 pm Dress for parents / escorts is basically what you would wear to church or business casual.

This message is a reminder to all parents that the end of the first six weeks was last Friday, September 20th. Grades will be sent home Thursday, September 26th. I would encourage you to log onto Parent Portal and view your child's grades at any time to check their progress. Our calculation program has changed regarding dual credit classes and/or advanced classes. They still hold a weighted value 10 points above normal credit, but the 10 points will not be calculated until the end of the semester. Class rank is and has been determined on semester average. This 6 weeks calculation system will have ZERO impact on class rank but will provide the parents an appropriate picture of how this student is performing in the class at that time. For example, If you see that your child has a grade of a 72 in a dual credit or advanced class know that when calculated at the end of the semester that would be calculated as an 82. For parenting purposes knowing that their current progress is at 72% may assist in discussions of responsibility, accountability or appropriate class placement. Gold and silver teams will not be effected by this change. We will determine eligibility for the teams based on semester averages. Thanks for your help in this transition.

There will be no classes for students on Monday, September 23rd. Regular class schedules will resume on Tuesday.

Junior Class - "Senior Ring Ordering" - Balfour will be in the high school cafeteria on Tuesday, September 24th from 10 am 3:30 pm for ring sizing and ordering. You may also do it online. There will be a $100 minimum deposit. See attached picture/poster for additional information.

Please note important schedule changes for Friday, September 20th. To provide ample time for safe travel to and from Childress: A: School will be released at 2:00 PM on all campuses B. Just a reminder that we will be having our 2019-2020 pep rallies at 8:45 on Fridays of home games. We made this change in time to allow students from Siebert to be able to attend. Come join us tomorrow at 8:45 to celebrate all things Mavericks

Eastland Maverick Football Reserved Stadium Seats - We currently have several available reserved seats for purchase. If you would like some, please stop by the High School Office. Each seat is $30 per season (6 home games this year). We accept cash or check only.

Online registration is open. Go to: https://gb.txeis14.net/pp067903/Login.aspx Top ten questions answered. 1. All students will need to be registered online this year. As with anything new, it may be a bit frustrating. 2. This is in place of the packet of colored forms you normally complete at the beginning of each year. 3.You will have to have a txConnect account. 4. txConnect is often referred to as Parent Portal. 5. If you don't have an account, you will need your students unique portal ID and a valid email address to set one up. If you call the school at 631-5040 we can give you the portal ID and verify the email address we have on file. 6. This registration it faster and less repetitive than the paper packet. 7. You cannot use the txconnect app. You will have to copy the link into your browser if using a cell phone. (we realize this makes no sense and are frustrated by it as well) 8. If you need help, we have computers set up at the school for you to use, and people to help you. 9. Your student will not be able to get their schedule until online registration is complete. 10. We hope this makes registration easier and faster for parents!
