EISD Teachers and Staff: The past 9 months have been the most challenging some of us have faced in our lifetime. As this pandemic inches its way into each oncoming months, its effect has varied from person to person. However, a universal and vast concern has always been our school systems and the students they serve. We proudly watched you teach from home last year and then open our schools safely and effectively in August and we know this has not been an easy task. As a staff, you have risen to the challenge proving you will do whatever it takes to provide the safest and best education possible for OUR kids. The EISD school board recognizes that you have put in countless hours and your own resources so that school can feel as “normal” as possible. It is not only our honor, but also a privilege to give you a well-deserved gesture of a COVID Relief Stipend. On your November paycheck, teachers will receive a $1,000 stipend and support staff will get a $250 stipend. Thank you for all you have done and will do in the future! We are not sure what the future has in store, but we do know that the students in the Eastland Independent School District will have the best learning opportunities possible because of you. Our kids are blessed by your service. It’s A Great Day To Be A Maverick!
