Siebert Online Learning Parent Orientation

Siebert Online Learning Parent Orientation

To be eligible to participate in remote learning, you must participate in an online orientation.  The online orientation will be presented through Google Meet.

The online orientation is being provided at three different times and here are their links.

  1. Monday, August 10th at 6:00 p.m.  meet.google.com/gji-zohg-wyu

  2. Tuesday, August 11th at 12:00 p.m.  meet.google.com/jjs-wwxu-nxq

  3. Wednesday, August 12th at 9:30 a.m.   meet.google.com/gsy-dcxv-qdg

You may receive an invite to all three meetings, even though you have informed us of the time you plan to attend. You may attend any or all of the meetings. You must attend one in order for your child to be eligible for remote learning. If you will be unable to attend the times offered, please send an email and let us know. bchesser@eastland.esc14.net

Below are instructions found online for accessing Google Meet.

Once you sign up, here's how to use the free version of Google Meet:

2. Click Start new meeting, or enter your meeting code.

3. Choose the Google account you want to use.

4. Click Join meeting. You'll have the ability to add others to your meeting, too.

 OR

1.  If you have the Google Meet app and a google account, just click on the links next to the correct date and time at the top of the page.

After you attend the orientation meeting, you will be emailed a parent contract.  You will be able to electronically sign and return this contract.  Once you return this contract, your child will be committed to the remote learning platform for the entire first six-weeks of school.

If at any time before Thursday, August 13th you decide not to have your child participate in remote learning, please email or call the school and let us know. The sooner we know, the more successful we can be in our planning.

If your student begins at school instruction, you may choose to move them to remote learning at any time.  However, if you choose to do this they will be required to continue with the remote learning for a minimum of six weeks.
