Eastland XC teams left early Saturday for Millsap to run in their first event of the year. The Lady Mav team of Cylea Carper, Jacie Holt, Lacie Holt, Adi Cunningham, Kaylynn Lopez, Ana Cunningham, & Lily Bird came away with the 2nd place team award behind girls team winner, Springtown. Medaling for the girls this week were Lily, Adi, and Ana.
The Maverick team of Brayden Sparkman, Cole Bridges, Andrew Hicks, Sammy Herrera, Chase Clark, & Ethan Maddox also place 2nd overall behind Ft. Worth Benbrook. Andrew, Sammy, and Chase all placed in the top 15.
Also running separately on the boys JV team were Alex Carver and Jayton Wesley. The Mavericks and Lady Mavs XC teams will host a meet at Lone Cedar CC on August 30 beginning at 2 pm with the HS boys teams leading off. The public is invited to attend. There is no entry fee.
