Track Update: Due to rain and weather predictions, the track lighting upgrades have been pushed back one week. Until conditions allow for lighting upgrades to begin, the track will remain open. We will update the community when those conditions are met and when the track will be closed.
Beginning Monday, October 5, the Eastland ISD track will be closed to the public while lighting upgrades are underway. The project is expected to take approximately two weeks, depending on weather and construction progress.
During this time, students may still be present in the track area, including on the practice field located inside the track, for authorized school activities. Any student use of the area will be under the direct supervision of Eastland ISD coaches or staff and coordinated with the construction professionals working at the facility. The track and surrounding area will remain closed to the public throughout the project.
We realize that many members of our community regularly use the track for walking and exercise. We intend for this to be a short-term closure and appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation while these improvements are completed.
Eastland ISD will notify the community when the track reopens to the public.
