Eastland ISD is proud to announce that its Child Nutrition Department has been recognized by the Texas Department of Agriculture as a 2025 USDA Foods Challenge Awardee!
The USDA Foods Challenge recognizes school districts that demonstrate excellence in strategic menu planning and the efficient use of USDA Foods. To earn this recognition, districts must utilize at least 95% of their USDA Foods entitlement while remaining in good standing with the Texas Department of Agriculture.
This achievement reflects the dedication of Eastland ISD's Child Nutrition staff to providing students with nutritious, appealing meals while being responsible stewards of taxpayer resources.
"Our Child Nutrition team works hard every day to serve healthy meals that students enjoy while carefully managing the resources entrusted to our district," said Superintendent Jeremy Williams. "This recognition is a testament to their professionalism, planning, and commitment to our students."
Eastland ISD congratulates the entire Child Nutrition Department on this outstanding accomplishment and thanks them for the important role they play in supporting student success every day.
