Welcome to Maverick Country - Past, Present, and Possible!
Eastland Independent School District is proud to announce that it has been selected to host the upcoming Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA) Small Schools Network event, scheduled for November 11–13, 2025. The three-day gathering will bring district leaders, educators, and administrators from across Texas to Maverick Country, where Eastland’s story of Past, Present, and Possible will shine brightly.
Honoring the Past
For generations, Eastland ISD has embodied the spirit of small-town Texas education - where dedication, community pride, and a shared commitment to student success define every classroom. From early traditions of academic excellence to the generations of Mavericks who have gone on to make their mark, Eastland’s rich history continues to inspire.
“Our past reminds us who we are,” said Superintendent Jeremy Williams. “It’s a story of perseverance, collaboration, and a belief that every student in Eastland ISD deserves an exceptional education.”
Celebrating the Present
Today, Eastland ISD stands as a leader among small districts across Texas. Hosting the TASA Small Schools Network's in-person event is both an honor and a celebration of the district’s ongoing excellence.
Throughout the conference, visiting educators will take part in campus tours, leadership sessions, and collaborative discussions showcasing Eastland’s innovative programs, dedicated staff, and student-centered learning environment.
“This event allows us to highlight the incredible work happening in our classrooms every day,” said Superintendent Williams. “We’re proud to open our doors and say, ‘Welcome to Maverick Country!’ - where small schools make a big impact.”
Imagining the Possible
As Eastland ISD looks to the future, its focus remains on growth, innovation, and opportunity. The district continues to explore new ways to integrate technology, expand programs, and strengthen partnerships that prepare students for success in an ever-changing world.
“The theme of Past, Present, and Possible truly represents who we are,” said Williams. “We’re proud of where we’ve been, confident in what we’re accomplishing now, and excited about the possibilities that lie ahead for our students and community.”
The TASA Small Schools Network event will serve as a forum for leaders to share ideas, discuss challenges, and celebrate the unique strengths of small school districts across Texas. It’s an opportunity for Eastland ISD to showcase its vision while learning from others who share the same dedication to student success.
Community Pride and Statewide Recognition
Hosting this statewide event is not only a professional milestone for Eastland ISD - it’s a moment of pride for the entire community. The gathering will bring school leaders and visitors to Eastland, highlighting the district’s welcoming spirit, strong community partnerships, and enduring Maverick pride.
“This is more than a conference - it’s a celebration of small schools and the powerful role they play in Texas education,” said Superintendent Williams. “We can’t wait to share our story and show everyone what makes Maverick Country so special.”
