At the School Board meeting on September 8th, Kye Harrington and Tavyn Huffman were named as Students of the Month for August!
Tavyn is a student athlete who participates in Volleyball, Track, Basketball, Softball. She is also a cheerleader. She is a member of Beta Club and has been Class President for three years. Her favorite teacher throughout EISD is 6th Grade's Mrs. Jones. Teachers say she is kind, positive, and well-rounded student, and she is always seen with a smile on her face. She plans to pursue a Business degree at the University of Texas.
Kye has been referred to by EHS staff as the "Mayor of Eastland High School," for his upstanding behavior and outgoing personality. He plays Football for the Mavericks, is the current President of the Eastland Chapter of the FFA, and is a member of the Beta Club. He is also a Senior Class Officer. He has shown livestock throughout his life. Teachers and coaches say that he works to build up his teammates and fellow students. His favorite teacher is Mrs. Williams, as his favorite subject is Ag. He plans on attending Texas A&M to pursue a degree in Agri-Business.
