School is back in session at Eastland ISD! We are excited to see students, both returning and new, walking the halls of each of our campuses!
Leading up to the start of school, teachers and staff met for Convocation, gathering as a district to reconnect and prepare for the beginning of school. We want to thank the Band members, Cheerleaders, Maverick Football Team, and FFA members who came to cheer on our staff. Thank you to our local churches and Gone to Texas Catering for providing the meal for the meeting, and Mike Daggs for giving a great motivational speech and kicking off the year with enthusiasm! This Monday (8/11), the doors of our campuses opened for Meet the Teacher! Students and parents walked the halls, found their classrooms and lockers, and spoke with their teachers. All of this culminated to an exciting and successful first day of school on Wednesday (8/13)! We are excited to begin another semester, and look forward to an amazing year full of accomplishments and achievements. The first week of school ended with Meet the Mavs on Friday (8/15)! The Mavericks Football team competed in scrimmages against De Leon (JV at 5:30, Varsity at 6:30). Following the scrimmages, at 7:45 PM, this years Mavericks, Lady Mavericks, Cheerleaders, and the Eastland Marching Band were introduced! Thank you to everyone who came out to show your support and school spirit!
