Kylie, a 5th Grade student, won a Scholastic Storyworks Magazine writing contest!
Students who participated were asked to write a speech imagining themselves as Lord Togashi, a character in a folktale, who is honoring his newly appointed chief advisor, Baachan.
Storyworks Magazine sent a letter to Mrs. Lacy recognizing Kylie's work, a certificate celebrating her winning submission, and a gift card to the Scholastic store as a prize.
