14 EISD students went to the FCCLA Region II Leadership Conference in Waco.
Two teams took Spotlight on Projects displays:
Laynie Wilkinson, Kaylynn Lopez and Gabby Ware did a display on traffic safety.
Garrett Glenn, Jiovanni Ojeda, and Jay Oznick did a display on the Importance of Athletics.
Three teams competed in Proficiency events. All three will advance to the State competition!
Gabby Ware and Kaylynn Lopez placed 3rd in the Toys that Teach Category Level 3.
Paola Alaniz and Deborah Cruz placed 2nd in the Toys that Teach Level 2.
Nathan Taylor placed 4th in Serving Up Success.
Four teams competed in STAR events. Three will advance to the State competition!
Melany Rojas and Taylor Clark placed 1st in Sustainability Challenge.
Maria Alaniz placed 1st in Nutrition and Wellness.
Ava Smith and McKenna Fambro placed 2nd in Repurpose and Redesign.
Chase Clark, Antonio Alaniz and Kate Leppert-Bentley competed in Food Innovations Level 3.
